from COS 4 - Chapter 13
Trust the Science? Does that really sound like me – I mean would I really even say something like that without a caveat? If you read my included article in Chapter 9 “Time Entanglement and the Supernatural” you may think that I just make up my own science. The fact is, that when I’m writing for others using my own quantum hypotheses I am; because that’s basically what hypothesis is. However, I oblige myself like everyone else to base a lot of my research on other already accepted theory or proven science before I do. When it comes to my thoughts involving theoretical quantum physics, time and the supernatural all in one article, it becomes daunting, challenging and sometimes daring. For much of my science thinking also derives from my stretched imaginations. And most of the science I became curious about for much of what I wrote were the unexplainable. Not because they were unexplainable, but because the explainable science is easy, I would just read to search for the answers I could find. Much of what I researched satisfied my curiosities with sufficient enough acceptable answers. Much of what I doubted becomes dismissed as the pseudoscience for others. What most people don’t know however is that much of quantum physics are still unproven hypotheses.
Take light for instance; Do you know what the speed of light is? It is roughly 186 thousand miles per second. According to Einstein, it is the ultimate cosmic speed and nothing can travel faster than light. But you see that I have been known to have said in a very slight jest - that “light is like the ‘molasses’ of the universe.” For our sake it is a humanized acceptable cohesive concept created as a constant represented by the letter “c” for us. I based this not only on my thoughts of quantum physics which Einstein had a problem with. But just also on deductive reasoning of human science. First off “quantum entanglement” is instantaneous at any distance, seemingly bypassing the space time dimension completely. A light year away should take a year to get anywhere using our accepted physics. Or what about a thousand light years – a thousand years? Quantum entanglement is instantaneous just the same. Einstein called it “spooky action at a distance” and he really had a problem with anything violating his “c” speed limit constant of light.
I on the other hand didn’t have that burden or luxury of believing in this limitation since I was a proponent of quantum science. I grew up reading alternative theories. Like the speed of consciousness according to Dr. William Tiller is the speed of light cubed. None of almost any of it provable unless you want to believe the human science limitations of relativity. Now don’t get me wrong I’m in agreement that Einstein who brought us the theory of relativity at the age of 26. He was a pure genius along with much of his science but I also believe that others like Bohm, Planck, Wheeler, Schrodinger, etcetera… along with much of their sciences were as well. I have based most of my own pop-sci hypotheses as you have read on much of this alternate quantum science. Or even just my own observations - and not just to be difficult. Much of what we observe can’t readily be quantified nor nullified, nor omitted. The fact that I have read about and have also personally witnessed impossible science leaves me a skeptic to all sciences. This doesn’t mean that I don’t believe any science, it means I’m a “Fortean” type believer. All of it is suspect and has to be completely convincing. With theoretical anything it’s tough - like believing in a supernatural god.
Even harder though is believing much of what many other TIs believe. But I don’t want you to get me wrong here either because my beliefs may seem off the charts to many of you guys in comparison. So like all of you, I read research and believe what I choose to be the real science…

What can anyone but me say as commentary about this? Awhile back I was turned on to the Author Charles Fort “The Book of the Damned” (1919). I read all of his books I could find and they took me for a ride into questioning my own beliefs. All beliefs, science, the supernatural, everything was now in question… The entire universe of knowledge was in doubt. What do we know, can we prove it to ourselves – who said so and how many credentials do they have on their walls – from where? Who cares???? Fortean Times were upon us… |
